Questions

Do I need the Mac app?

Yes — Audiout Remote requires the Audiout Mac app running on the same Wi-Fi, and you sign in with the account your Mac purchase creates. It’s the remote for that system.

How many phones can connect?

As many as you like. Sign in on every phone in the house with the same Audiout account — there is no per-seat limit.

Does it work away from home?

No — by design. Audiout Remote talks to your Mac over your local network, so it works when your phone is on the same Wi-Fi, not over the internet.

Is it really free?

The download is free and there is nothing to buy inside it. Signing in takes an Audiout account, which your Audiout for Mac purchase creates — the remote is included with the Mac app, not a second purchase.
